The arduinos are here and we are ready to build!
We hope to see you tomorrow evening!
It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of long-time member, Art Gillespie, Jr., K4TP, on January 7, 2017. Art was an incredible guy, noted for his sharp mind and love of DX CW work. Please keep his spouse, Faye, K4FAY, and his family, in your prayers.
Arrangements are as follows: The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Gastonia, 2650 Union Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054. Thereafter will be a memorial service at the same church at 2 p.m. and interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
We send our most sincere condolences to George, NC0G and Scott, N2JSP in their loss. We will greatly miss Sherland, KF4TLL, now a silent key.
Sherland was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend and more. She encouraged me to become a ham. We got into “trouble” talking too loudly near the CW station during field day two summers ago. It was so much fun being hushed by the CWer’s!! She always had a smile on her face and encouragement to share regardless of what was happening. Life will not be the same without her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Poteat family.
